Rainbow Rowell Reviews: Fangirl Manga Vol. 1 + Carry On

Do you ever just need the most comforting reads possible? I recently started a new job, and while I am loving it, a significant life change like that has definitely had me craving comfort. Top 5 Anticipated Releases: Jan-Jul 2021

This week, I decided to do some research about which books are coming out in 2021 and share the ones I am most excited for! I am normally the type of person that just looks at other people's lists, but this year I thought it would be fun to do my own research. There are plenty of comprehensive lists online, but this will be focused specifically on the books I am excited for that are coming out in the first half of 2021. These are in order of release date. Hopefully this helps you by giving a release date and synopsis for the books I cannot wait to read next year!

Book Reviews: Eliza and Her Monsters, Instant Karma

Hello everyone! I fell slightly behind on book reviews, so I decided that I'd post my reviews for Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia and Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer in a single blog post. Both of these books were wonderful young adult contemporaries with a touch of fantasy, a genre I dearly love. I hope these reviews are helpful to you, and be sure to comment your own thoughts on these books if you've read either or both of them!

Book Review: Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks

Pumpkinheads was such a charming, adorable read! It was perfect for putting me into a happy headspace during a stressful time. The atmosphere of this book was absolutely fantastic and incredibly immersive, filled with loveable characters and sweet moments. I'd definitely recommend this graphic novel to anyone looking for a cute, light romance in a fall-themed setting!

Book Review: Windwitch by Susan Dennard

Windwitch was a wondrous ride full of deeply flawed yet lovable characters, wildly unique and intriguing settings, and action-packed plot. I found myself consistently surprised at the twists and turns of the story, although I must admit that some of that surprise came from wondering exactly how the events in this book were even happening. Unfortunately, I cannot say that my questions were answered in full, but I suppose that’s what the novella and third book are for! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading this novel and will definitely be continuing on with the series.
